I am incredibly high maintenance when it comes to taking care of myself- but I wouldn't have it any other way! While most other 20-year-olds will spend their Friday nights out on the town, I'm busy oiling my hair and meditating in the comfort of my home.
Drink your Water (and some Matcha)
I wake up at 5:30am every single day and the absolute first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is drink whatever water is left in my 40 oz. water bottle. Not only does this eliminate my need for caffeine every morning, but it's such a lovely way to start my day making sure I'm hydrated.
When I do need some caffeine, I prefer drinking matcha over anything else. Matcha contains wonderful antioxidants that decrease oxidative stress and improve cardiovascular health. I'll sometimes sprinkle some of my favorite prebiotic fruit powder for an added beneficial twist!

Vitamins Vitamins Vitamins
The next thing I do is take my many supplements from CareOf. CareOf lets you take a quiz to see what specific vitamins you may be lacking and sends you a specialized package with everything you need on a monthly basis.
They have special packages for people on hormonal birth control, and understand that we may be severely lacking in minerals that others do not.
Guasha
Lymphatic drainage- don't knock it until you try it. Lymphatic drainage removes toxins from the skin, relieves sinus pressure, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and increases collagen production.
Gratitude Journal
My favorite part of my morning is sitting down with my matcha and my kitten and expressing gratitude. It is so difficult to stay present in a culture drowned out by the 'hustle.' I feel like I always have to be doing something and in order for me to stay present, I like to write down 3 non-academic goals for the day, and 3 things I am grateful for. Granted, most days #1 on my list is my cat.
After all of that, I get ready for the day and I finally head out the door at 7:30am to begin my day of cycling classes, hot yoga, and midterms. Remaining balanced and focused is integral in order for me to succeed.
